Sega Megadrive

It's hard for Westerners to imagine that the Sega Megadrive (known as the Genesis in North America) was just not very popular in Japan as the Super Famicom or the PC Engine. Even today, used game stores in Japan that have a sizeable selection of Super Famicom cartridges may not even carry any Megadrive games at all. While the Megadrive may not have been technically superior to the Super Famicom, the Megadrive certainly provided a library of some great games, and Masaya contributed a lot of great games to the system, and great memories for us.
