This model kit is incredible. The only painting required was for the core fighter. For the Gundam itself, I only used Gundam markers for the detailing. I was very impressed with how the eyes turned out. I used Gundam Markers for the red and black around the eyes, and for the yellow eyes I used my new yellow Posca marker I picked up in Japan. I used this yellow Posca marker for the gunsight, and I used the metallic green Gundam Marker for the forehead.
As you can see from the pics, this is a very fun and very poseable Gundam model. Most Gunpla can be rather stiff, but I am very impressed with the poseability of this one. I'd say that it's on par with an action figure, and it is very sturdy, unlike my Zeta Gundam model. This Gundam can hold the beam rifle with both hands as well as holding the beam saber with both hands. I wish all Gunpla were this solid
I'm also rather pleased with my painting efforts on the core fighter. This Gundam model was released domestically, however the domestic model kit does not include the bazooka or the core fighter. I bought it for a friend of mine and it was his first plastic model to put together.
