Yaizu Fish Market

Last month, Mayu, Ulan, and our mom drove to the Shizuoka City area to take a look around. While we were there, we checked out the Yaizu Fish Market in Yaizu. Here you can find incredible deals on an incredible variety of seafood, from tuna sashimi to sea urchin to jellyfish. You can also buy giant fish heads, too. You think that's weird? Fish eyes are loaded with DHA, you know! Aside from the vendors, there are also numerous sushi and sashimi restaurants. We stopped at one and had sashimi rice bowls for lunch. I always wanted a thing called TUNA SASHIMI!
