The Game:
If you are like me, your favorite character to play in Street Fighter II is Chun Li. What constitutes a good, solid fighting game, in my opinion, is at least one pretty girl who kicks butt.
If this describes you as well, then Pretty Fighter is the game for you. If you've played Street Fighter II and wanted to remove the mean looking men with bushy eyebrows and the ugly freaks-of-nature and just replace them with cute, pretty girls, then play this game! As the name implies, this is a SF II clone where all of the fighters in the game are pretty girls.

There's a girl for nearly every fetish out there: a sailor fuku wearing girl, another who wears a PE uniform, a nurse, a police officer, an entertainer; blonde hair, brown hair, black hair, you name it. And no two girls' fighting styles are the same, which is a definite plus.

The Good:
PRETTY GIRLS! But I admit: there are other attractive features about this game than just attractive girls. Even though Pretty Fighter is yet another SF II clone, it has captured a sense of uniqueness above other clones. The graphics are nice and the characters are unique and interesting.
The Bad:
While the graphics are great, the girls themselves during gameplay could have stood to be a little less pixilated. Plus, there are only eight characters to choose from. The gameplay suffers in many aspects. For instance, it's a little difficult to execute the moves at times. The characters move ackwardly, and you can push your opponent backwards just by moving into her.
Overall:
This is a unique and somewhat-enjoyable fighting game, however flawed. The idea is nice, but the gameplay just doesn't feel right. It is geared towards gamers who like playing the girls in fighting games, just as I do. However, there are better fighting games out there. Although it certainly has its faults, it is still a charming game. If you can't find this game, there is a Pretty Fighter X game for the Sega Saturn via import, which has an 18+ rating, but only because it has some panty and cleavage shots. Also for the Sega Saturn is Asuka 120% Burning Fest, which is credited as the best female fighting game. I have this game, and it's awesome! Cool characters, intense speed (it makes Street Fighter Alpha games look slow), intense action, and incredibly simple gameplay make this a must-have game. I assume the Playstation version is good also.
