I've recently discovered demos made for the SNES/SFC. Many of these are simply image gallery slideshows, but some are graphical/musical animation demos. I've found several of these. Most of the image galleries are hentai, but some of them are pretty cool. What really caught my eye was Sakura Taisen for the Super Famicom. I was halfway expecting some sort of Super Famicom game of Sakura Taisen, like somehow a port of the Gameboy Color Sakura Taisen. I downloaded the rom and discovered that it's just an image gallery. Still, it's not often when you see graphics as incredible as these on a SNES/SFC! Check out some of the pics of the Sakura Taisen demo:
I found another one of Asuka from Evangelion. This demo actually plays a sample of the Neon Genesis Evangelion opening theme from the TV show! Most of the pics of this one are hentai, but here are some of the general-audience ones:
Pretty cool, huh? These are the result of programmers creating roms for the SNES/SFC. I bet they do not exist in cartridge format, but they can be saved to disc and played on a disk system like a Super Wildcard.
Here's some from a Happy New Year 1996 slideshow featuring pretty anime girls: Morrigan, Athena Asamiya, and Cardcaptor Sakura.
