Mecha Collection Yukikaze and Kirishima from Space Battleship Yamato 2199 by Bandai

January 2015 Here are two ships in the Yamato 2199 Mechanical Collection series: the Yukikaze and the Kirishima. These kits are not in scale with each other, but instead are only in scale to fill their boxes. The Yukikaze is actually larger than the version that comes with the 1/1000 scale Combined Cosmo Fleet set. I painted these with Mr. Color's Yamato Color paint set for the Cosmo Fleet.

Unlike the classic Mecha Collection kits, these new 2199 ones have featureless stands. So, found an image with the Yamato 2199 logo, isolated it and cleaned it up via Adobe Image Ready, and printed out my own decals for the stands. I think they look nice.
