July 2014 These little kits are neither something I am very proud of, nor are they very exciting. I'd bought these several years ago just for the heck of it. Tiny little models like this are difficult for me to get them to look nice. I mainly just worked on these kits here and there over a long period of time, mostly when I'd taken them up to the in-laws' house in Nagano-ken when we go there to stay.
The base colors of each were done with Tamiya sprays: Intermediate Blue for the Cosmo Hound and a regular gray (I forget which one) for the Cosmo Zero (it wasn't until much later that I realized that the Cosmo Zero is supposed to be silver). The engines were colored with Tamiya spray Light Gun Metal The trim on each was done with Testors Enamel: gloss red and yellow for trim, gloss light blue for the windows, and flat black. Panel lining was done with a gray Gundam Marker.
So the Cosmo Hound is from the third Yamato series, but I've only seen the first two. The Cosmo Hound looks something like a cross between a WWII bomber and the Space Shuttle. Pretty neat-looking.
