The Dirty Pair has appeared on TV, in OVAs, in movies, and in fantasies of threesomes among otaku across the world. If you don't know the Dirty Pair, then just ignore this page.
I've I just scored two BEAUTIFUL limited-run Dirty Pair figures from Epoch! These are expensive and fairly hard to find, but I scored these recently on ebay and received them in the mail today. Oh my monkey crap, I'm happy. I'm more excited then when I scored my non-bootleg Saber figure by ebCraft in Akihabara in February. These figures are "cold cast" with a mixture of resin and ceramic. Despite their dramatic poses, I won't have to worry about them drooping when the room gets warm due to this composition (unlike my Natsumi figure ). They come with wooden stands that say "3WA". Earlier this year I got the Dirt Pair figures by Wave, but those were a bit too busty. These Epoch Kei and Yuri figures come in the updated white outfits from the OVAs.
I've created thumbnails, so click on the images below for larger views. YATTA!
There was only a limited run on these figures; some ridonkulously low number like 5,000 (I don't know if that's per set or per girl). I've been eying these figures for quite some time now, and I scored them for a killer price too.
Oh yeah, and here are my other Dirty Pair figures I already own:
The boxed ones are vintage vinyl dolls. The figures in the foreground are made by Wave and they coincided with the re-release of the Dirty Pair series on DVD. These figures aren't the greatest, plus they're innacurate. True Dirty Pair fans know that Kei has a larger bust than Yuri, but these figures have them swapped. Plus their breasts are sculpted to look like disgusting implants and don't look natural at all. I prefer flat chested/small bust girls myself, but I do make an exception from time to time. These figures by Wave just don't do it for me and they represent an alarming trend in anime. Women's breasts are depicted way too big these days. Back in the 80's, Kei and Yuri were considered to be very busty, but by today's anime standards, they are average. It's sad to see that women in anime are depicted as such. The true esssence of femininity suffers as a result.
