Max Factory, continued.
Left: a new 1:72 VF-19 Kai Fire Valkyrie from Macross 7, the one show I can't stand. Right: the upcoming 1:72 VF-1J Battroid. I personally do not care fo rthe rounded legs. It looks too stylized and cartoony.
Vermillion Squadron from the Macross TV show: a VF-1J Hikaru and a VF-1A Max/Kakizaki.
I've no idea what these are.
OK, next is Wave.
The VF-171 Nightmare Plus from Macross looks cool. There will also be an Armored version, coming in April.
.
FineMolds has a new F-15 Eagle kit coming out. I've learned my lesson with the F-4 and F-2 kits. I will wait for them to release the F-15J with fancy decals rather than buying the standard one right away.
I wasn't very excited over this year's Kotobukiya booth.
X-Plus Model is a new company it seems, based in Osaka. They have a lot of Japanese and Western licenses. They make figures and monsters.
Moving on to Doyusha. They mostly distribute imported kits.
Pre-painted Transformers kits.
Here is Plum, based in Nagano Prefecture. They have an updated R-9A Arrowhead kit. This one is slightly retooled from the one I have, plus it comes with the bits.
These are Vic Vipers. The one on the left is from Gradius V and the one on the right is from Gradius II.
On the right is the Silverhawk from Darius.
Here is the X-Lay from Rayforce.
Powerdolls is a strategy game for the NEC PC-FX, and Powerdolls 2 came out on the Sony Playstation. Here are different upgrade parts to differentiate the mecha from each other as there are different types in the game.
I guess this company is called Almost Real? Anyhow, they have a Space Cobra statue coming and already out is the Lupin the 3rd car.
This Airtex extration booth uses a cascade of water instead of a standard filter. Neat. OK, next is Bandai, who did not allow video to be taken in their booth. Maybe because their booth gets too hectic?
Gundam, Macross.
.
These new Votoms kits look great, and are a lot cheaper than the ones from Wave and Volks.
Kaiyodo's booth.
More Gunbuster. This seems to be a static pose, whereas the one by Aoshima is posable.
Gaia Notes.
Pit Wave's booth.
This Fulcrum kit has optional parts to have the top/bottom vents opened or closed.
Lastly, here is a pic Brian from Beaver Corp took of the two of us. Thanks for looking. I hope to attend next year again.
