A trip to Tokyo Sky Tree, part 1

Page 2

The NHK Character Shop: home to Domo-kun and other great stuff! Right: These characters are from a children's show called "Inai Inai Bao!" (which essentially means "Peek-a-boo!").

Shaun the Sheep!

Left: Moomin is a series of books (and apparently a TV show?) from.... Finland, I think. I guess I could look it up on Wikipedia, but I'd rather be lazy and spend the time typing this than to just simply look it up on Wikipedia. Hey, it's my homepage. If you don't like it, that's too bad!

Left: Domo-kun Batman! Right: Tree Village has lots of cool anime crap, as you will see in the following pictures.

I'm not an Evangelion fan, but I like Maria because she wears glasses.

Eva model kits and other stuff for sale.

Lupin the 3rd!

Evangelion and Detective Boy Conan Sky Tree souvenir snacks.

Right: Creamy Mami stuff!

HunterXHunter, Gatchaman.

Left: My daughter likes Precure. Right: Imoto is a goofy character on Japanese TV who goes around doing stuff and acting silly. Fake eyebrows = funny in Japan, I guess. The character somewhat reminds me of that Saturday Night Live girl character who would do the splits and smell her armpits. You know what I'm talking about? It was after SNL stopped being funny.

Lots of K-On stuff. LOTS of K-On.

And Nameko.

Crayon Shin-chan and Doraemon.

So here we are at the aquarium at Sky Tree. For 2,000 yen, I have certainly been to better aquariums for the same price or less. It really wasn't very spectacular.

Ulan-chan REALLY loves those little wormy snakey thingies that poke their heads out of the sand.

Ulan-chan took these pictures.

Here's the main tank. It's not all that great. I think the price paid for admission is mainly for the location.

Sazae-san snacks!

There are so many great stores at Tokyo Sky Tree that we did not see them all. We missed the Hello Kitty, Nanoblock, Medicom Toy, and Ultraman shops. There are probably more stores than that! We plan to go again someday and see the rest. So, that will become part 2 of this photo collection. Thanks for viewing!

Next: Man Or Astro-Man is TEH AWESOME!
