Tank dioramas.

Left: Fujimi's Blade Runner Spinner! Right: Precure body shells for RC cars. I don't know the character on the far right, though.
Left: A Doraemon robot. Right: A Regult battle pod from Macross.
The one on the left is Miku, but I am not familiar with the other anime girl.
Burger mecha! The future of fast food.
Left: Welcome to the Tamiya party tank! Right: Creepy!
I've never seen a Dr. Slump plamo before. Arale-chan meets Robby the Robot. I bet this kit is expensive!
Left: Nice engine detail on that Countach. Right: Wacky Races!
Left: This is the GM Trainer from my favorite manga, Gundam: Ecole Du Ciel.
Left: I got Scott and Brian from Hobby Link Japan to pose for me. Right: Here is a sign to the restrooms in the Tamiya headquarters building. Cute, huh?
Aoshima's new Future Boy Conan model prototype was on display.
These pictures are all of Aoshima's display.
Left: K.I.T.T. in Pursuit Mode. Right: Aoshima's new line of pre-painted car models.
Here are more of these pre-painted models. The paint job is actually very nice. For those who want to make a car model but aren't confident about painting, here's your chance to put together a car that will look very nice once finished.
Left: An Umai Bo snack bus! My favorite is the squid mentai flavor. Right: So Aoshima is getting into the bewbs business?
Left: More anime bewbs from Aoshima. This character is from Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai. I don't know what the official English translation is, but it means "I don't have many friends." Right: This badass robot was on display at Doyusha's exhibit.
Left: Doyusha's Matsumoto Castle. Right: And here's their Himeji Castle!
Right: Here is big news from the Hobby Show: Fine Molds is releasing a Darth Vader's TIE Advanced plamo! Yay!
Here's Fine Molds' Kurenai no Buta / Crimson Pig models.
Left: Fine Molds' Laputa robot. Right: At Tamiya's area, demonstrations were given for the Tamiya Decoration Series, where you can make models of various sweets like cakes, ice cream, breads, etc.
Left: Tamiya's canned bread. I guess this is like military rations. Right: Here is Bandai's new version 3 of their RX-78 Gundam model.
Right: The last shoe-ting. Get it? HA!
Left: This Core Fighter model looks pretty cool. Right: It's a train. You knew that already, right?
Right: This neat hangar diorama was on display at Bandai's Yamato exhibit.
Left: I didn't know that the Dreissen makes an appearance in Gundam Unicorn. Right: Hasegawa's Valkyrie display.
Left: Someday I'll get around to watching Macross Frontier. Maybe I'll like it. As much as I love Macross, I've been very distrusting of Macross shows ever since the ridiculous Macross 7. Right: A new AWACS Valkyrie model by Hasegawa.
Left: Hasegawa's Valkyrie Eggplanes (Tamago Hikouki). Right: the jet from Ultraman.
This is cool. Did they really have a gachapon series of the Eggplane girls? Here is a model of the toy. Neat!
Left: This is awesome. At Platz's booth, this model of the Nautilus from 2000 Leagues Under The Sea looks fantastic. I grew up watching that movie every time I came across it on the Disney Channel. Right: Apparently this is a new mold of the Viper from Battlestar Galactica, by Moebius. I have the old Revell kit I've yet to build, but I don't know what is different with this one.
Left: More BSG stuff. Right: The redesigned Enterprise from J.J. Abram's Star Trek reboot.
Left: Bandai's booth from afar. Right: Another look at Aoshima's pre-painted car model runners.
At the Miyazaki Modeler's table, this beautiful doll of Nausicaa holding a baby was on display, along with the art that inspired it.
Left: The fighter from Nausicaa. Right: Deckard and Gaff inside the police Spinner from Blade Runner, my favorite movie. I talked with this guy for a while about his fantastic work on the Spinner. It's the Fujimi model, but it's been modified considerably. He did such a fantastic job on it, but I'm not sure about this lighter color paint job he did on the car.
He sculpted the figures of Deckard and Gaff himself, and did such a better job than the ones I can find for sale on Yahoo Auctions Japan. After telling him what a Blade Runner otaku I am and how impressed I am with his model, he gave me Deckard's head as a gift. He spent a lot of time making it in Harrison Ford's likeness, even including Mr. Ford's scar on his chin. I wanted to buy the figures from him, but he said they are not for sale. Nuts!
Left: Here you can see that even the panels in the door light up. Right: The dashboard lights up, too!
Here's the underside of the car. He did such a fabulous job on this model.
You absolutely MUST check out Dorobou Hige's blog! He is a master SF modeler. Check it out at http://dorobou.blog.so-net.ne.jp
